The Uintah Basin's economy is driven by the energy industry. With that comes a multitude of smaller businesses and entrepreneurs serving the Basin area.
Helping those small businesses and startups succeed and thrive in the Basin is the goal of the new Utah Small Business Development Center in Roosevelt.
Business, education and community leaders gathered at the SBDC's new offices Thursday to mark the opening of the center.
The purpose of the center is to consolidate different economic development resources in Duchesne County under one roof, said Kirk Bostick, IP and business development director for Utah State University's Commercialization and Regional Development. - UBStandard.com
